Based on a dream I had one time: there was magic in the world, but not very powerful. The best magicians would be able to light a candle with nothing but a wave of their hand...and I've wanted to draw it for a long time but never knew how to convey the magic part of it. I thought of it in the shower today--what if I make a woman dancing inside of the flame? The best magicians in the world of that dream could only ever dream to do that.
The hand is my own. (Yeah I'm the best magician in the world hahaha.) The dancer is from my mind because I couldn't find a stock photo that had a pose that I liked. The candle is from =Gracies-Stock. I drew it first on paper, then I used the GIMP 2.0 to add contrast. Time Taken: 3 hours for the traditional drawing, 10 minutes to contrast it how I wanted it. Tools Used: Pencil H, Mechanical pencil 0.7 mm, tortillion, tissue, kneaded and normal erasers, the GIMP 2.0, iTunes (plus some kick-ass songs) Comments

I also used a mechanical pencil, which draws a bit darker (I'm clueless as to the hardness though)
