Wow that was easier to finish than I thought...and 4 times as messy. I apologize for the terrible photo, I assure you it looks better in person.
*ayame409. As if you didn't already know. Next week I'll be living with her...for a week. My next deviation will, without a doubt, be a picture of us together. I was going to add a watermark, but you know what? I want everyone to be able to download for up-close detail if they want to look. Time Taken: Approximately 13 hours Tools Used: Pencil HB, 2b, charcoal pencil 9B, mechanical pencil 0.3 mm, sharpened erasers (2 of them), kneaded eraser, paintbrush, iTunes and Skype. Comments

I really like the sort of sub-block-style shading you used, it's really effective for strong lighting. Your composition is also really nice, not too big, not too small, and not right smack in the center, but not too far to the right either. The only thing that throws me off a bit (and this may be just me), is the light source. The shine on her hair makes me think that it's coming from the upper left or directly above, but the way the shadows are done makes me think it's coming from the right somewhere. Did you have multiple light sources?
Overall, I think it's a very successful piece
